Important Announcement Regarding Futbol En Vivo

As many of you may already know, our good friend and co-host Jorge Chavez recently suffered two strokes. Jorge is stable and in rehab but won’t be able to join us in hosting the show at this time. I believe I speak for everyone in the Futbol En Vivo and Austin FC communities when I wish Jorge a quick, thorough recovery. We have been deeply moved by the support shown to Jorge from our fans and the Austin FC community.

Regarding Futbol En Vivo, David Alvarez and I are transitioning the show to a podcast. With only two regular hosts available, the weekly commute to the studio would be too difficult for us to commit to consistently throughout the season, and we want to provide as much content as possible to our fans.

The podcast will be available on all your favorite podcast platforms and featured on the Club Deportes website. We will aim to release episodes weekly on Mondays during the season. Futbol En Vivo is extremely grateful for the support and guidance we have received from Jorge Iturralde and Club Deportes over the past few years, and we are excited to continue our relationship with a vital media source in the Austin FC media landscape. I also plan to write regularly for Club Deportes during the season, so be sure to continue to visit the site and follow our social media channels to keep up with my latest work.

Again, Futbol En Vivo would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding during this transition. We look forward to a fun, exciting 2024 season covering Austin FC.
